You don’t need to ski or snowboard to enjoy a stay here, in fact we regularly have guests who have never skied in their lives!

However, we are blessed with the most wonderful winter landscapes here in Lungau so far from sitting in your cosy chalet all day (although we wouldn’t blame you!), the mountains around the ski resorts of st martin chalets in Obertauern, Fanningberg, Katschberg-Aineck and Grosseck-Speiereck provide the perfect playground to enjoy. Empty mountain paths and the cleanest air you’ll probably ever breathe will ensure you an amazing experience no matter what your ability or age!

Austrian ice driving experience

Prepare yourself for the most amazing, adrenalin-packed Austrian Ice Driving experience!
Lungau is known for it’s perfect ice driving conditions, so much so that a whole selection of international car manufacturers carry out winter tests here, using both the ‘Lungauring’ and ‘Winterfahrtraining’ circuits, both within 30 minutes of us here at st martin chalets.

Depending on time of year and availability, you can choose from a range of specific courses and vehicles, whether you want to pit your skills against the circuit in a road car or fancy testing yourself in a full-blown rally or performance car…from Mitsubishi Lancer Evos to Subaru Imprezas and and an Audi RS.
The intricate courses will definitely test you, but you’ll soon find it’s all about getting the right drift angle. Before you know it you’ll be sliding your car sideways with abandon!
