Our wonderful chalets are the perfect place to relax and enjoy time with loved ones, including your four-legged friends. You and our dogs will love our spacious grounds as well as the living areas and cosy corners of your chalet, with plenty of room for their basket and toys.
Walks can begin right at your front door and after a long day of adventures, your chalet’s lovely outside terrace is the perfect place for you all to relax during warm evenings, looking out towards the mountain tops of Aineck, Grosseck & Speiereck!

We have our own labrador called Jimbo so we know all the best hiking routes and secret places that you and your pets will love!

From adventurous walks to swimming in the rivers and mountain lakes, your dog will have just as much fun as you each day before you return to your lovely Austrian chalet.

We have acres of wonderful countryside and valleys for you to explore right on our doorstep, with access to many miles of the best marked valley and mountain trails Lungau offers.

Cable Car Walks with your Dog

If you want to get to the top of the mountain quickly, the St Michael Sonnenbahn lift is just minutes from us and takes you to Speiereck, with your dog travelling free.

Or ride the Grosseck-Speiereck “Grosseckbahn” gondola from Mauterndorf up to 2,000 meters above sea level or the Obertauern cable car, which both offer free travel for your dog.

All we ask is that dogs are kept on a lead whilst walking around our grounds.

Supplement pet pet

 

As with all accommodation providers, we need to add a small supplement per pet for the duration of your stay and kindly request you don't allow your pets in your bedrooms!

Travelling with Pets

Within the EU, you will need a Pet Passport for dogs, cats and ferrets. Furthermore, those pets need a microchip for clear identification (since 3 July 2011, a tattoo is no longer sufficient unless it was done before this date).

Local Vet & Pet Knowledge

We know the best pet friendly restaurants, walks, activities and places to visit. We are also located just 15 minutes walk from our local vet, who is very well regarded here!

What is there not to like?

What is there not to like? 5* accommodation, great hosts and more things to do than you can shake a stick at. Currently sitting in the Panorama Alm drinking coffee whilst brushing the fresh powder off the jacket.

Once you are in, you never want out

There is one problem with a St Martin chalet, once you are in, you never want out. Life is so easy with the food delivered, restaurants taken care of and in case you run out of wine a handy racks full at the reception. The comforts of your own home, the family around you, the amazing food of Lungau region, the laid back atmosphere and the magic scenery. We went twice and we are looking to return again and again and again.

Now, I have added another thing to my Bucket List: returning to st martin chalets!

I planned for almost a year to find the perfect place to complete the #1 item on my Bucket List. I had aspired to dive in the GrunerSee. st martin chalets made it come true. They were able to do anything that I needed or wanted. When I arrived, they had already contacted a divemaster for me (Leo Maierhuber was wonderful). The area is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. Now, I have added another thing to my Bucket List: returning to st martin chalets!
