Enjoy hundreds of kilometers of cycling routes and well-marked mountain bike trails. Lungau also boasts to be Austria’s highest e-bike region with charging stations everywhere (even at the top of the mountain!) so you can cycle all day long during you bike holidays in Austria!

Lungau has around 480 kilometers of designated mountain bike trails, with a total of 17 routes and a mixture of leisurely valley tours, some tricky all-terrain routes and of course the odd summit to conquer!

The famous 361km  River Mur cycle-touring path is best done over three day and ends at the border of Slovenia at Bad Radkersburg.  Ask us to help organise your lodging along the route  and book your return shuttle to Lungau. The route starts in Lungau Muhr, just up the valley from us  and runs right past our chalets.

Alternatively the easy and popular with families,  Mitterbergrunde 40km  goes around the whole of Lungau and is predominantly on easy cycle paths, it starts directly from st martin chalets too.

The well-marked Lungau mountain bike trails are a great fun and some are easy to ride – especially with an e-bike but that’s cheating and means no cakes at the huts!
