Snowboarding in Austria St Michael im Lungau

With five different interconnected mountains, St Michael offers a lot of variety - for skiers and snowboarders alike. Some of the mountains offer very wide pistes, which are ideal for long, ranging turns on a board. There aren't too many flat sections either, although it's worth speaking to us when you arrive so we can help you avoid any "board-off" sections!

What will possibly excite our boarder guests the most is the amount of unspoilt off-piste we have here. Compared to the likes of Val d'Isere, Kitzbuhel and St Anton, St Michael is relatively unknown among the hardcore off-piste fraternity. That means that when we get a fresh dump of snow (which we get with surprising regularity, especially when compared to many other resorts), the fresh tracks tend to remain fairly unspoilt for days.

As we mentioned on the skiing page, Lungau is one of Austria's most snow-sure mountain ranges in Austria, there's a great local ski bus service and there are plenty of wonderful authentic Austrian mountain huts to explore.
