4 Championship Austrian Golf Courses within 40 minutes... and one only 5 minutes' walk away!

Austria is a country that is, to date, largely neglected by the golfing community. Why that is we simply cannot fathom: we have some breathtaking and brilliant golf courses in Austria and they’re almost never busy! We’re sure it won’t be for long before the European golfers catch on. There are 4 stunning championship golf courses within a 40-minute drive of St Martin Chalets and each one is every bit as good as its Portuguese and Spanish cousins.

Golfclub Lungau is less than a mile away from St Martin Chalets and, while you could probably walk there if you wanted to, we have our own electric golf buggy. You can drive to the course in that, play 18 holes, enjoy a couple of drinks in the sunshine, then drive back – all the time keeping to the footpaths. Perfect!

For the other courses in the area, you’ll need a car, but they’re well worth the effort. We’ve included a series of photographs below to show you just how glorious Austria’s golf courses really are.
