Hello Jodi,
Thank You for wonderful time in Lungau. Our chalet was perfect and sauna gave us more power to skiing. We have a problem with recycling, but we tried to do our best. In Poland we have just started with sorting trash.
Best regards

Hi Jodi
Sorry this has taken a while, we're back in the thick of things over here! Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our visit to St Martin Chalets and to thank you for accommodating all our needs, especially my tooth falling out on those delicious Austrain rolls!! We found the chalet very comfortable and nicely appointed to a very high standard, pity we had to come home!
Lungau was beautiful with lots of things to do for winter and summer, we've told all the family and friends to come and see you ...... unsure though which season they will choose.
We thought your project was truly impressive and has clearly involved you both in a lot of hard work and effort and still does!
Thank you once again - we'll try not to leave it too long before we are back.
Best wishes
Gwyn and Hilary

Hi Jodi,
Thanks for a lovely holiday. We all had a thoroughly good time.
I think that the weekly newsletter is excellent, full of ideas of things to do and places to go. I really enjoyed the organised walks and would happily have done more but didn't want to push my luck with the family! Thanks for sorting out the bike hire for us from Hapimag and booking us on the rafting. It is an excellent service that you offer.
The chalet was beautiful and well equipped and the children enjoyed the job of recycling. The grounds are a pleasure to be in and we all enjoyed the produce. I think that having the bread delivered was fabulous, nothing like fresh bread for breakfast.
Lots of friends have been interested in our holiday this year so I'll be passing your details on and recommending you.
I hope you enjoyed your trip back to the UK and the party.
Best wishes,
Sue Costin

Dear Jodi and Herby,
We have just returned from a fortnight staying at #3 St Martin Chalets in St Michael in Lungau. The chalet was extremely comfortable and well equipped – our fridge was stocked on arrival and everywhere was clean and utterly charming. The beds were outstandingly comfortable, as was the corner sofa area downstairs. All the chalets are appointed in the same way; the downstairs area being open plan with a central wood burning fire. The picture box balconies had vibrant geraniums spilling over.
St Martin was a great base for a summer holiday; little did we expect the friendliness and encouragement of Jodi and Herbie to seduce us into so many group activities such as waterfall walks, summit hikes, e-biking, a sun-rise walk, rafting, tobogganing, wine tasting and archery to name but a few. Jodi and Herbie are superb hosts and nothing is too much bother.
Herbie is fastidious about recycling, making it very easy for us Brits to do likewise in this pretty eco-hamlet. The chalets all have mountain spring water via taps. The combination of this water and mountain grazed cow’s milk makes the best cup of tea we’ve tasted! We swam in the local pool, played crazy golf and enjoyed knowing we were sharing the locals’ summer activities. We were spoilt for choice in terms of eating out, but were equally happy to eat in, being able to make full use of the kitchen and utensils. We found time to read, switch off, stay in touch via wi-fi and our son helped Herbie to remove large stones that had found their way into the natural pond, an attractive water feature in the middle of St Martin Chalets. We picked vegetables, fruit and herbs from the garden and enjoyed our own patio area as well as the communal camp fire.
The little known and unspoilt Lungau region has stunning views, from valley floor to mountain summit. Everywhere was so clean, no litter, houses and gardens were immaculate and the expected method of payment in the gasthof was in cash, no cards: simple pleasures made for a thoroughly relaxing and invigorating active family holiday.

Hi Jodie, Herbie and Jimbo!
Sorry it's taken me such a long time to get round to sending this recommendation, but we just wanted to say a really big thank you for all the effort you and Herbie went to to make our stay at the chalets so wonderful. We all had an amazing holiday and you really helped to take the stress out of everything. Thanks for the repeated use of your car, taking us tobogganing (loved it!), dubious thanks for the snow biking (I was hopeless!) and thanks for the numerous lifts Herbie gave us (which saved us having to deal with whiney kids - and some grown-ups too!). And a very big thank you for stocking up our fridge, freezer and alcohol supplies before we arrived - it made so much difference just to be able to get on with our holiday straight away (but next time, we'll just ask for essentials and get a car so we can get the rest in ourselves!).
Thanks again and all the best - we will recommend you!!! Enjoy your trip to Egypt, Jodie.
Love

Dear Jodi,
Being 'skiing virgins' last year we haven't got anything to compare Lungau with, but when we were looking for a skiing holiday this year all the resorts we looked at seemed busy and commercial. The best thing about St Martin was that fact that it was a real alpine village with traditional buildings, very unspoilt and quiet with beautiful scenery and clear mountain air. We felt very welcome and really appreciated the friendliness of the people that worked on the skilifts and in the restaurants. The Ski instructors were very patient and were brilliant with the children and of course our host was lovely! Being Beginners with a capital 'B' it was perfect for us because the slopes were not to busy and we didn't get in the way when we kept falling down. That sums up why we loved Lungau.
We haven't been able to ski this year but would definitely like to go next year. When do you start taking bookings? Good luck with the new chalets, hope to see you soon

Hi Jodi,
Thank you very much for returning the camera!
We have great memories about our time in St Martin and I also have
written a reminder that you wanted to get back on our request to allocate an
option for Sun Jan 2- Sun Jan 9 2011 for a chalet reservation.
I am hoping very much to return in 2011 to see if the sauna is up and
running and also it is a very good perspective to be already somewhat familiar
with the place which is truly a gem. Your chalets are one of the rare places
that created this "instantly feeling at home" atmosphere. We were
also thrilled by the amount of care you take to welcome your guest such as
these little details as the strawberry-lavender jam on the table and the
carefully selected weekly program and of course this packed information folder
which is truly a great thing to have at hand all these leaflets from
neighbouring skiing areas so that is easy to prepare one's own agenda. As you
can see, many thoughts go back (and forth) to "Jodi’s place".
We also enjoyed the chalet catering (great idea by the way) on Thursday
very much. Maybe there is a menu option for Kaiserschmarrn in 2011 too :-)
Getting the camera back will help to refresh memories and to look
forward to our next visit.
Kind Regards
Joerg

We’d be back to Lungau every year if we didn’t have school fees to pay! The reasons we enjoyed Lungau are: it’s small but varied with other resorts close by. Very friendly and helpful ski school and their English is good which is very important especially when instructing kids. Good hearty food after a day’s skiing. Great Spar if you’re self-catering. Pubs very welcoming with an interesting menu. Fantastically easy for us flying from Coventry. Reasonably priced in comparison to other resorts. We enjoyed the quietness, at the end of the day you need to relax. Obviously though Lungau’s biggest asset is you Jodi!
