We've just waved goodbye to our first official golf team from the UK - brought to us by the lovely people at Leisure Link Golf. As you can see, they had some lovely weather and made the most of it with plenty of golf and lots of barbeques!

As these guys and anyone else who's played golf in Austria will probably tell you - it's a fantastic place to play. Our warm summer climate and clear, clean air provide Austria with some truly amazing courses. Most people wouldn't connect Austria and golf but there are actually twice as many courses here than there are in Portugal! What's more, partly because it's relatively unknown as an international golfing destination and partly because we have so many golf courses per capita, you'll find that our greens and fairways are relatively empty. You don't normally need to book a tee time and you rarely have groups in front of and behind you. It's a very relaxing place to play! What's more, with the fabulous Golf Club Lungau on our doorstep, St Martin Chalets is a great place to base yourself. We have four great courses within a 45-minute drive and one that you could walk to (although most prefer to take one of our electric buggies!).

We'd like to thank Sgt Dale Thompson and his fellow golfers for being such great fun and for christening what we're hoping will become a wonderful working relationship between St Martin Chalets and Leisure Link.
