The end of the 2010/11 season is fast approaching and what an amazing season it's been - for so many reasons. The focus of the season for us has to be the fire in Chalets 1 and 2. Oh my word - we thought that would be the end of us! But what a turnaround - all of the chalet owners and our wonderful guests have been amazing, and everyone got together to help us get through it. Thank you all so much!!

Aside from the fire it's been a great season. The snow across Europe hasn't been the best this year, but as usual St Michael has proven to be one of Austria's most reliable resorts for snow. We've had skiing to the bottom of the valley nearly all season and we've had some memorable days in the powder.

2010/11 has also seen St Martin Chalets truly establish itself as a sustainable holiday destination. We've installed solar panels in our garden and on the car port roof, we've added an electric car to our fleet of e-bikes and electric golf buggies, and we've bought ourselves some snow bikes, which have proven a massive hit with our guests.

All-in-all, despite the builders burning down as many new chalets as they built, this has been a great year for us and one in which we've seen enquiries go through the roof. We've made so many new friends and it's been really great to get to know you all. What's more, with so many of you booking to come back in the summer and next winter, we're already looking forward to what looks like being a fantastic 2011/2012.
